I am considering buying a RMH as I have neither the equipment or skill to build one myself. Thus far I have only found one manufacturer (Zaug Stoves in WA) If anyone knows of others or has comments re Zaug and/or urban use of RMH I'd appreciate a quick post. Furthermore I am interested trash as fuel and what filters might be incorporated for that exhaust.

It's great to have found this forum!

Cynthia M. : Unless these people introduce you to a local distributer, assume there isn't one, I would definitely ask how many builds total (s)he has done,
and how many of those were Zaugs !

If you share your approximate location, you will find like minded people in your area, and may even find a rocket stove Workshop or cob builders workshop

There's one other manufacturer, producing heater cores at the moment. See this webpage. They should be capable of delivering full heaters in some months.

Fuel for any rocket heater should consist of dry wood only, in whatever form. No milk cartons and old shoes, for example.

Here the point is to add to the wood perhaps bits of carton and even shoes. Since the intake/airflow is designed around sticks and inks, dyes alone may yield oxides other than CO2 there are definite challenges not absolute limitations!

If you share your approximate location,

Delaware is such a small state-it is my ~location. You might be the closest active RMH enthusiast-most one this forum don't divulge much personal!

I agree. Here's the link: http://richsoil.com/cards
