Can rocket stove be used indoors, i.e. near the open kitchen window? I have RMH but it is not good for cooking, and also I don't want to heat my bench during summer. Rocket stove on kitchen table could be super simple solution, but I have never tried one indoors.

I suspect that the universal recommendation for burning a rocket stove indoors would be "no never not ever". Even with windows open, you're generating enough smoke, CO, CO2, etc that you could have problems. Indoor rocket stove is a HUGE improvement over an indoor open fire without a chimney, but I can't see anyone recommending it if you have any other options. Maybe if you had an exhaust hood to draw the combustion products out of the house? Or you could simulate an exhaust hood by putting a box fan in your open window to blow the smoke out of your indoor areas.

But in general, unless you have no other option, I think it unwise to burn a rocket stove indoors. If you happen to be burning an open fire indoors with no chimney, PLEASE start using a rocket stove instead
