Can't plant out Blueberries. Pot up and plant later?

Hi folks,

That title was a bit dramatic. I recently ordered 6 blueberry plants (2 or 3 year old transplants, basically look like whips) and they arrived earlier than I expected. I don't have a place prepared for them (I know, I should have had soil tested and conditioned it much earlier).

I was wondering if it would be a good idea to plant these plants into pots, with a store bought soil mix, and then be able to pick out a good spot on my property and test/condition the soil over the next few months and transplant them either this fall or next spring?

Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Joseph

That's what I would do, put them in pots with the proper soil mix and then work over the summer to prepare their final planting spot! Make sure those pots are nice and big.
