So they finally figured out how it works. Tested. Wahoo !!!

Bump

Read this, it points out that our entire theory of particle physics may not be real.
There is a India guy who posited that the nuetron is actually just a "hole" in the transistor sense, an empty space that can accept a donor.

This is going to make physics and thermodynamics exciting!

I have been following this for some months now and am very glad it is not a hoax, very glad indeed. I ordered a domestic e-cat when I first heard of it, is there a big queue? There will be soon.
As my friend above said, a hole a few parsecs wide has been blown in some physicists reality, the second law of thermodynamics is now invalid. Interesting.....

OK so if I understand this right what they have done is is made a hydrogen based reactor that produces heat by splitting a hydrogen atom to replace the violent and potentially dangerous current nuclear reactors that are based on violently splitting the atoms of radioactive materials like uranium and plutonium.

If I understood what I read, that in a simplified nutshell is what they did correct?

The potential of this is that now they can make nuclear energy without the inherent dangers of a radioactive disaster that current reactors have?

Do any of you science gurus know if this can be reduced to the size to work on small scale like individual homes or eventually even automobiles or will it only replace the current corporation/gov controlled power grid to make it cleaner and probably cheaper to run?

I am all for cleaner cheaper energy any way we can get it but I also root for the little guys who want to independent and self reliant.

Not really a nuclear reaction, more a chemical interaction.

Actually, what it is doing is CREATING nuetrons, making hydrogen mixes UP the thermodynamic slope.

hydrogen, dueterium, triterium,Quadrenium. This all happens in a millesecond.

then the quadrenium collapses back to hydrogen releasing a photon? as heat.

uses just a little bit of water as a hydrogen source. (shot glass), but uses more as a closed loop steam engine.

Original one is a little larger than a standard water heater, the industrial one will be about the size of a forkliftable generator.

Only waste product is heat - as steam. No radioactives, no radiation.

Don't mean to sound like an idiot. Just trying to get my head wrapped around exactly what its uses are. Believe it or not I actually understood your explanation of the reaction and the process.

Is there any word as to their intended application. I guess what I am trying to get at is what are this things real world uses. TO heat a home to make electricity on a home scale national scale?

If it makes heat it obviously would have an application as a home heating source for hot water and home heat. Can that also be used to run turbines to make electricity and such?

Ok, I'm going to go out on a limb here and make a prediction...these guys are hucksters and are going to disappear to some sunny beach after they have picked up some investment capital.

Sorry. If I'm wrong and we have cold fusion generators at k-mart within a year I'll be happily humiliated and embarrassed.

Is there even one reproducible result published in a peer-reviewed journal? I think for the most part the scientific community does a pretty good job, and I just can't throw that much physics out the door based on a website account of what some guys are doing in their garage somewhere in california.....

disclaimer...i'm an (ex) scientist, and being skeptical is part of the job...

Defkalion and Rossi are building a domestic 5kW steam generator and a 20kW commercial machine to be on sale in the new year. The domestic one will go for $1500 USD and the commercial one for $1 million. They require 3kW to start but then they switch to self sustaining mode for 180 days with no power input. There will be Rossi electrical generators soon.

There will NOT be a rossi e-cat.

He has been busted, messing with the controls in tests, and there are some reports of extra wires going into his systems. Mostly running 220 in on a 110 system on a rewired plug.
Output is about 100 times less than what he has projected/promised/predicted.
He has said he has delivered units, but has not.

He is using powdered nickle, and there is not enough surface area to get the reaction up to usable levels.

you have to dig a little at this site, but he is a good scientist too. http://www.newenergytimes.com/

This is will first be used for building heat, process heat (manufacturing), and start for building sterling engine stuff, and household level generation.

Industrial one will be strong enough to run standard electrical turbines.

The really sweet thing about this is actually the boost it will give for thermoelectrics. And the coming tech is a lot more efficient than Peltier devices.
http://www.peltier-info.com/info.html

Some UofAz guy figured out to use a strip of benzene on waste heat can convert thermo directly to DC voltage, albeit at a low current. Add more strips, get more current. Turns out graphene has the same edge effect as a strip of benzene, is less toxic, and looks like it will be easier to join. Uof AZ guys think theirs can be painted on tho.

The reason you can understand it, is that it is simple. Not hard to figure it out if you arn't an engineer. If you are you have to unlearn everything you thought you knew about electricity.
http://amasci.com/ele-edu.html

THIS is hard, and prob close to correct, as far as his framework goes. His red book is a masterpeice.
Actual particle physics is actually prob closer to what Lee Smolin is working on, a vision of particles as energized twists from Maxwells times.

Brilloin's is not a hoax. The guy from Los Alamos that tested it, is now onboard, along with the VERY skeptical guy from Stanford. THE major patent guys in SF , wrote the patents in exchange for stock.
They did not patent the process, just the electronic control tech.

Thanks Morgan for putting that into perspective for me. It will be interesting to see where this goes.

or, just build your own !

I think the part that they patented must be a MZ sweeper of some kind. Im thinking of the battery recharger module for knocking lead sulfide off batteries. The deluxe model has a sweep module in it.

The next page on the site says it will even work with nichrome wire!

Yup, they are using some kind of sweep, or pulse generator, to push the reaction, that is why they have a stop switch

looks like phantom nuetrons just got another boost. makes the isotope creation in the Brillouin link seem pretty tame by comparison.

this puts the quantum foam/ branes/ LQG physics out in front now.

polywell guys take a gander at Brillouin

http://www.talk-polywell.org/bb/viewtopic.php?t=3168&highlight=brillouin

And the Tri-Alpha guys got 5 mill, 5 years ago to work up a boron/hydrogen mini-smasher. Now they added lithium to the walls, and were getting some heat.
Maybe they don't understand what is going on either
