I just made a system very similar to this, minus the bucket, but a similar concept using just gutter fittings. The filter I use is pantyhose, works just as good. I'm hoping it has enough pressure though, it's not very far off the ground. Supposedly this doesn't matter if you're using a soaker hose.

I have my gutter leading to a buried drain pipe that runs down hill (gravity) to our pond.
