Has anyone purchased land from billyland.com? I found the website last night; it seems almost too good to be true, and we all know what Mom use to say about that! So I thought I would poll the permies masses and see if anyone has any personal reviews? Thank you for your time!!

I don't know how well you reviewed the thread, but the "winning bid" is how much you pay for a down payment. You are then responsible to take over the 'asking price'.

I would certainly look carefully before I leeped!

If you're trying to get 2 acres of scrub land for $299 it IS too good to be true... like John says, after the auction you still owe the remainder: $19000 - $299 = $18701!

Thank you for the tips. I noticed that the bidding was on the down payment and the right to purchase the land. I don't know how good the land is that he's selling (K-falls area, high desert) but I'm betting it's not the best I can find at that price. I'll keep looking, again I appreciate the advice
