After listening to the 3 hour podcast on rocket stoves and your request for people to suggest workshops, I wondered if when you come to Vermont to do the Yestermorrow workshop if you are available for hire to build a rocket stove before the class? My off the grid camp is only 30 minutes from Yestermorrow (the other side of Warren mountain in Roxbury). I was planning on originally hiring an experienced natural builder but I would much rather hire you both and help with your request to travel the countryside. Please let me know if you would consider it and we can talk off line. Thank you for all you do and the time and energy it takes to do it.

Instead of Yestermorrow, how about getting NOFA-VT to sponsor a workshop. I've gone to several NOFA-VT workshops during the last few years - one was even on permaculture though it was called a post-peak oil workshop.
If they wont, maybe incorporate a workshop into the building of your stove. I'd pay $10-25 to attend a rocket stove build. That's generally the price for the NOFA workshops and they've been well attended.

send us an e-mail Or if you have done so already thanks for the e-mail. the sponsor ship idea is a good one but i think that the price's might be touch low for having us out there if you are doing it yourself. Those are inline with a lecture and a little bit of hands on but for a three day workshop they are not realistic. Erica and I cannot do this stuff for free as much as we would like to. our hosts cannot be expected to put us up and feed a bunch of folks for free either this is why we have workshops to allow us to continue to do our work.
We will be driving out to the east coast and that means we have to make expenses; while this is cheaper for the participants it is not cheap for us in either time or supplies. We hope to hear from you and others who would like to host workshops and speaking engagements. We also urge people to find sponsorship if possible to keep the costs down for everyone. but please be realistic on the costs and every one involved lively hoods.
