Hi all, just wondered if there were any Alberta folk around on Permies?
...just getting started with our farm / homestead... tiny off grid cabin, draft horse power, developing rotational grazing / grass fed beef, and hopefully next season's subsistence garden will someday grow to a viable CSA.
It would be fun to meet some like minded neighbours to bounce ideas off..
cheers,
m.

Hello neighbour,
Geographically speaking. In Alberta myself. Brace yourself, cold weather all week long, expecting to see -40 this week for overnight lows out in the country.

Yeah, but thank God it snowed for the livestock....I haven't got a well drilled yet and chopping ice for water was getting old. But better bring in the brass monkeys tonight...
Nice to hear from someone around here.

There is a huge growing permaculture community in Alberta but not too many on here yet, what areas are you two in? I am moving out of Calgary to my parents farm 30 minutes north of the city to get thing jumpstarted again. I am going to live in a 5th wheel trailer for a couple years to make sure things are getting off the ground.

I'm up Grande prairie. This is an old thread but thought I'd see who else is in the far north.

Hi fellow Albertans- rather new to the forum, and hadn't realised this section existed. Just posted this yesterday:
