Not trying to sell myself as much as I'm putting out to the universe that I would, in fact, love to make a connection.

Currently finishing up an undergrad in NH, capping off my contribution to a campus permaculture initiative (intended to inspire and be built upon), and preparing to hit the road to check out farms, community-based urban and regenerative agriculture projects, grad programs of interest, art, and live music .

I have interests in bioremediation (particularly mycoremediation), getting off the grid, teaching permaculture, involvement with  or  the spearheading of community-based projects around the country and possibly around the globe, the selective breeding of plants in the Northeast (particularly bringing back the chestnuts and so on. . ), hanging around the fire with friends talking about uplifting the system while drinking good beer(interested in brewing beer, making wine, cider. . . ). . . and I love to dance.

As much as I intend to travel, I am leaning to settle somewhere in the Northeast as my family needs me This is not set in stone, but is a major consideration.

Everyone should feel free to drop me a line, I would never turn down a good networking opportunity

Hi my name is Zac. I'm 21 years old, and I live in Ohio. I share some of your interests, particularly getting off grid. I would like to one day have an off grid Permaculture farm where I grow lots of native food plants. Right now I'm working to save up money for that. I love being outdoors doing things like hunting, fishing, camping, and foraging for wild edibles.

Hello Mountain Chick, my name's Charlie I'm 18 I live in Hackensack, New Jersey and I'm currently searching for farms to visit in the northeast that demonstrate good permaculture techniques. I'm hoping to get a Permaculture design business set up in a year and have a farm somewhere in the northeast within 5-10 years time. I'm into herbalism, foraging, and health through eating nutrient dense wild foods, fermented foods, and raw dairy products. I was looking into DACRES in New Hampshire where your at, you should check them out they seem to have a great model for 20 person farmstead for a cold climate.

Uplifting to see young Permaculturists with interests, almost, identical to mine. Let's reach the tipping point baby and enjoy the ride until then.

Hello Mountain Chick,

Hope that 2011 finished well for you and that 2012 is treating you right. Am curious: you indicated that you were going to hit the road following completion of your degree in December. Where did you end up? I would love to make a connection as well, so give a shout out if you ever find yourself drifting through the southern states! You can find a good bit of info on me at my profile here at permies. Everything is visable.

Sincerely,

Matthew N., southern transplant

Hey I'm not looking for love on the permies... however I am looking for someone to work on the farm this coming summer. There is a a lot of opportunity here to try things that you might be interested in. We have a garden that can be whatever size we want it to be. And we are in the beginning stages of getting permits to have a farm brewery. The farm is in upstate New York we do hay and use tractors for that .... not exactly ideal for permies but we have to pay the taxes until we have another means to do so. It's a really nice place here set in the rolling hills with views of the Berkshire and the Catskill mountains and are only 1.5 hours from the Adirondacks. Anyway hit me up if your thinking about looking for a farm stay. peace, Matt

I have great ideas that I believe can save the world! I'm looking for a girl who would like to save the world with me. Could that girl be you?
