Greetings, This last week I harvested Motherwort for tincture. This beautiful, tonifying medicinal herb has been growing where I live for about 13 years now. I purchased the seed from Eaglesong at Ravencroft garden that long ago. This plant has soft green leaves, beautiful pink, passionate flowers and thorny seeds. She offers a connection with womb, heart and nervous system. She is relentless and she is subtle. She stands just a bit taller than me in the garden. This plant is one of the many reasons that I am an herbalist. What an incredible life with companions such as this. I invite you to participate in our Women and Plants ~ Shamanic Herbal Apprenticeship Program. The next session begins on September 12. This is such an incredible opportunity to learn to nourish yourself deeply with wise woman ways. Here are the details of our program: ***We meet on Fridays, 10:30-2:30. Once you are enrolled you will attend Four 13~week sessions over the next 16 months, coming around again the following year and repeating the session you began with. You will be walking the spiral. Gathering wise woman wisdom from all four seasons. ***As an apprentice you are welcome to attend our Herbal Wisdom Circle that happens at our farm monthly. This expands your connection with the plants and the earth. ***As an apprentice you are welcome to attend "The Well" women's study group that meets monthly in Seattle. This is a place for replenishment, a place to explore women's lore. ***You are welcome to attend our Dark of the Moon Lodge, a monthly gathering to honor "the blood mysteries" of women. ***You are welcome to attend Earth Mysteries Weekend ~ Immersion in Shamanic Herbalism, November 1-2. ***There will also be many more opportunities to learn and connect through Earth Celebrations, Garden opens, plant walks in the city and herbal conferences. Please call or email anytime to request an apprentice application. Green Blessings, Julie
