hello........after about 25 years of a chemical lawn, the last three i've done nothing, no fertilizer, seed, just left alone to make out on its own.......this year i decided to go organic so gave it a good dose of organic fertilizer and cut it when needed........

june 30th and it's fairly thick, green with all sorts of stuff other than grass in it........i've read several articles on using seaweed and things of that nature.....i'm not sure of the belifits......

at this point, when do i fertilize again....i live in new jersey.......would anyone suggest tips and suggestions........somehow my lawn is green, much thicker than before, no dandelions but all sorts of other things that are not grass......i'm not bothered by this......appreciate any help.......thanks

Not sure what your question is.  Sounds like all is going quite well!

here's my question, paul......it's sept. 4th and here are my intentions for reseeding a part of my lawn that's in sun most of the day but full of crab grass...it's about 50X50.....

i've ripped up most of the crab grass by hand, the rest the coming cold weather will take care of........the 50x50 i'll dig up as good as i can, overseed this area with grass seed, a falcon l V blend with about 10 to 20 % kentucky blue grass and water by hand each day.......i have sent for a soil test but it hasen't come back yet......

now, the question is......can i seed this area, and put down some 3 4 1 organic fertilizer at the same time....and....when the soil test data comes back, lay down what the test results recommend.......also......in about november, should i lay down another shot of the 3 4 1 fertilizer........

so........i'd like to get all this done within 5 to 7 days so i'll need some of your professional advice......what do you think.........thanks.......david getlin....ramsey, new jersey

Wow!  Lotsa work!

First, don't fertilize seed.  Seed can't deal with fertilizer.  When you have little baby grasses that are a few inches tall, you can put down a little fertilizer.

If you fertilize before the grasses show up, you're fertilizing weeds.

Next, while 3 4 1 is better than nothing, why not something with more N?  Grass is a nitrogen pig.
