Toby Hemenway is here for four days (Thursday through Sunday)! I hope that people can come up with the toughest questions for him!
Here's the particulars about getting a free copy of Toby's book:
I have a little program that will collect all of the posts to these forums for a date range. It will then mix them all up and show me ten posts at random. From those ten, I'll pick out the best four posts. I'll then email those four people to get their snail mail address so I can send them a book.
I'll try to do this on Monday, setting the program to collect posts from the previous Thursday through Friday.
The more you post, the better your chances of getting a book. Post to any of the forums at www.permies.com/permaculture-forums
A "good post" is a post that asks a great question, an answer to a question or even just an offering of some interesting information. Posts that just say "thanks" or "hi" don't count as good posts.

He is wrapping up a second edition of his book! I know that I have made some suggestions about stuff I would like to see him add (now is your chance to push some ideas too!)

Just to be clear,
For today through Sunday, you can ask questions in any of the forums here .... well, I guess that happens all day every day ... but for today through sunday, Toby will be coming by and answering a handful of these questions.
On monday, four of the participants of these forums will be given a copy of Toby's book.
On a separate note: Toby is coming to Seattle to teach a permaculture design course which starts in June!

Thanks! I'm having a lot of fun with this. Tomorrow (Saturday) I'm doing an all-day workshop so I won't be able to get to the forums until evening, but keep 'em coming and I'll jump in late in the day.

I found out earlier that the email I sent out on thursday morning went to a small handfull of people. So I sent out another tonight - I think we should see better results.

So yesterday I ran the program to pick the winners and it came out with me, Toby and two others. So I modified the program to exclude me and we now have four winners. I have emailed the winners and as soon as they accept having won, I'll post the four names here.
