Please come to the Spring Fruit Show at Ballard High school, 10am to 4 pm on March 22, 2008!
We are going to have hundreds of varieties of scionwood for fruit trees and lots of rootstock available. Lectures lined up to so far:
Cooking with Larry David
Grafting with Bill Davis
Kiwi & Fig Growing with Hildegard Hendrickson
Making Cider lecture with Drew Zimmerman
We are adding information and lectures on IPM, Bees, Best Fruits, Planting New Trees, and Trellising. Questions: (206) 364-6175.
The WCFS Annual Meeting will be held during the Spring Show. The election of new officers will take place during the board meeting. All members are welcome to attend. The meeting will start at 10:15 AM.
Ballard High School is located at 1418 SW 65th St. Driving directions from I-5 (north or south): Take exit 172 (NW 85th). Continue driving west approx. 2 miles to the intersection with 15th Ave NW. Turn lelft, driving south for 18 blocks to NW 67th. Turn left again at NW 67 to the large parking lot behind the school. Enter at the large doors to the south, go down a couple sets of stairs to the lower floor. The large Commons Room will be on your left.
