FREE Naturescaping Workshop and Native Plant Salvage
To register, call (206) 296-8349, or e-mail Marie at marie.alvarado@kingcounty.gov.
Learn design techniques that help create a low maintenance landscape that is healthier for people and wildlife. After this workshop, you will know how to shrink your lawn, select the best plants and reduce the amount of time and energy you spend on yard work. This workshop is packed with weed control tips and inexpensive landscape techniques.
But wait, there’s more! Participants are eligible to travel to a site scheduled for development to dig up native plants on Saturday, March 29th (Redmond) OR Sunday, March 30th (Vashon). You must attend a workshop to participate in the salvages (unless you have attended our workshop previously). Pick the workshop that is most convenient for you!
March 25th, 2008 Kenmore, 6:30 p.m. - 9 p.m. at Northshore Utility District, 6830 NE 185th St., Kenmore, WA 98028. Additional parking is available one block south of district in the “Park & Ride” located at 18201 68th Ave NE
March 27th, 2008 Vashon, 6:30 p.m. - 9 p.m. at Land Trust Building10014 Bank Road SW Vashon, WA 98070
Workshop attendees are invited to participate in a native plant salvage event at a site scheduled for development.
