You are all invited to a Spring work party at the Meadowbrook Edible Arboretum on Saturday, March 1st. We'll be meeting from 9 am till noon.
Thanks to all of you who helped last time! We've cleared out most of the blackberries and have started to prune the fruit trees. This time we'll be spreading a nice layer of mulch. The city has been kind enough to provide us with a load of wood chips. Hopefully, we'll also be able to finish some of the pruning.
Once again, the Seattle parks department will provide us with tools, gloves, wheelbarrows, etc. All you need to bring is yourself!
The Meadowbrook Arboretum is located at NE 105th St. and 32nd Ave. NE in Seattle. It's a public orchard that was planted several years ago, and that we are working to restore. It has many varieties of fruit trees and shrubs, which you are all welcomed to enjoy when the summer season comes!
