This from my friend Irene who has been researching like mad.

You can't go wrong with Abundant Life, Seeds of Change, Bountiful
Gardens, Heirloom Seeds, Wild Garden Seed, High Mowing Seed, Baker
Creek Seeds, Cook's Garden. Both Ed Hume and Nichols Seed have a few
Seminis varieties, but they're both really concerned about the issue
of dealing with Monsanto and so may be dropping Seminis seeds from
their inventory. Maybe.

BUT, from Territorial, all of the following are purchased from Seminis. With Monsanto's hand in the pie they may be genetically modified.

Hi,
I am wondering if anyone is talking to Montsanto...I am very interested in what a conversation would be like with the people that run this company.  I am curious about how to come together with all types of perspectives, to stop using US and THEM mentality as an excuse and to start communicating...what do you all think about this?
Peace, Julie

The idea of communication with Monsanto is a nice egalitarian ideal and I wish it were possible.  However, they have no interest other than to control the food supply of the world in any way that they can.
I had my own confrontation with them a few years ago.  Scotts is another company who's interests lie outside the realm of humanity. I've had dealings with them as well.
We have a standing policy here not to speak with them, ever, about anything when they call us, not matter what.  the standing order is to hang up right away.  What ever you say to greedy corporate hacks and the lawyers who represent them will come back to bite you in the ass at a time of their choosing.
They have only one agenda and that is to make as much money as possible and it makes no difference to them who gets hurt in the process.  My experience with companies like them over the past 30 years bears this sad fact out.  I wish it were not true but it is.  Sadly, there are some very sick, greedy people in this world we all must look out for.  Dick Cheney anyone?!
