You are all invited to a second work party at the Meadowbrook Edible Arboretum on Friday, November 9th.  We'll be meeting from noon till 3 or 4 pm.

Thanks to all of you who helped last time!  We really accomplished a lot.  Perhaps we'll be able to see some of Arthur's "before" and "after" pictures.  It was really a drastic difference.  I hope this second work party will allow us to finish clearing out the invasive plants, including the roots of the blackberries we cut back.

Once again, the Seattle parks department has been kind enough to provide us with tools and a city gardener will be there to help us get started.  All you need to bring is a long-sleeved shirt to protect yourself from blackberry scrapes.  I will also try to bring some goodies to encourage us along the way.

The Meadowbrook Arboretum is located at NE 105th St. and 32nd Ave. NE in Seattle.

If you have any questions, please e-mail me at lanieruth@gmail.com.  Please invite anyone you know who might be interested in helping.  I hope we can get as many people as last time.

I've attached a list of the recorded plants from the map that used to be there. The copy of the map is really hard to read but I can bring it with me on Friday so we can try to figure out where the are (or were)

I'll post this to the email roster as well in case it doesn't come through on this site

Thanks, Jody.

I've heard about this map, but haven't had the chance to see it yet.  There is one plant in particular that I'm very curious about.  I'll show it to you at the work party.
