I hope they actually produce something.  I just got an estimate for installing photovoltaics on my house and it's about ten dollars a watt minimum.  With an average usage of 15 kw per home that price of ten dollars is still the domain of the wealthy.
The prices have to come down if that technology is going to make a substantial contribution to the reduction in green house gasses.  Right now even the manufacturing process is so polluting it's a marginal exchange between pollution and salvation.  I hope these guys do it soon.
