It was the season to feel the lawn. Most of my lawn has been converted to gardens, so there isn't much, but for what there is, I want it to be thick and green.
While I was out, i decided to give a few strawberry plants some N too. I'm not sure if that was wise or not. They are a cool season plant. And these particular strawberries were planted pretty late this season. They seem to be taking and putting out some runners (which is what I want). I figured they have a few more months of growing season, so the extra N might make them a little more productive so there will be more strawberry plants by the time they go dormant.

Sprinkle wood ashes around berries and fruit trees. The potash will enhance the sweetness of the fruit. - the farmer's almanac
