Beekeeping and Honey Workshop
With Lost Valley’s own Penelope Petropoulos, students will discover the ancient relationship between humans and bees as well as the in's and out's of beekeeping.

Collecting honey from wild bee colonies is one of the most ancient human activities and is still practiced by aboriginal societies in parts of Africa, Asia, Australia, and South America. Some of the earliest evidence of gathering honey from wild colonies is from rock painting, dating to around 13,000 BC.

This introductory course will cover will the life cycle of bees, basic tools of the trade, how to maintain your hives, and honey extraction.

Your taste buds will also be entertained by a
delightful honey-themed meal.

Lost Valley is also offering an Intensive Permaculture Food Skills Workshop that includes  beekeeping.  Join us for for this intensive course as well.

Course Fee

$25.00 for workshop fee and organic, honey themed lunch. To register please follow the link below.
