dead grass spots from dog ***??? | (Read 1134 times) |

hello if someone could help me with my situation it would be appreciated. I have several small (6 inch diameter) patches of dead grass in my yard which i think is due to my dogs feces. I have found that if I miss a pile here and there when poop scooping it gets smashed down by the mower and when I eventually find it weeks later it's turned into a flat, solid brick with nothing but dead grass and dried dirt underneath it. Even after I have removed the feces and dead grass, new grass doesn't grow back.

I'm not a specialist in lawn keeping but I want to tell Bluto that I have dogs in my property and, contrary of what he has, I get spots in which the grass grows larger and greener due to the fertilization given to the soil by the dog feces. Bluto: what kind of food do you give to your dogs? The dogs urine can kill the grass, but not de feces!.

Do you have a dead spot and the grass right next to the dead spot is dark green, maybe even blue?

I also have dogs (2 small ones) and my yellow/dead spots are from from urine. Could that be part of the issue for your dead spots?
