Fertiler which doesnt hurt pets

Hi folks,

We just got a dog who loves to spend time on the lawn.  I havent yet fertiled yet because Im not sure why type of fertilizer I should use that wont harm my pet.  Any ideas?  Thanks!

Also I have moss in the back yard no sun can reach the grass cause of the house any thing I can plant there for about 5 feet for the house till the sun can take over?

Read the ingredients on the "ringer" stuff.  Nothing scary.  It's mostly feather meal.   Ground up chicken feathers - probably with a little bit of meat and chicken poop.  I think your dog can eat it just fine.  My dog ate lots of it.
