so after reading this article I think there should be another label that the fish farming industry can use. one that indicates whether the commercial feeds they use are organic but still reveals that wild fish (that cannot be guarenteed to be organic) are utilized as feed sources also. although wild fish can contain contaminents I think that they are likely a far better food source than commercially produced feeds full of who knows what icky stuff and Iwould like to know which fillet at the counter is what.

One thing never mentioned on the label of farmed fish and some brands of poultry licensed as natural is that some of the feed stock they use is derived from GMO corn and grain. No standards exist for this "transferrance" problem as far as I know.
Shaws "Wild Harvest" brand is suspected of this practice.

For the home aquaculture level, I just read a great passage from the book Toolbox for Sustainable City Living.
Very simple, very smart aquaculture for the water geeks who like to play around in the backyard. I'd *love* to see one of these in action!
